Making The Cut - Day 8, 9, and 10!

salad_with_chicken Well I have made it this far and I am feeling pretty good! My tight jeans are getting looser and the diet is not too hard to follow. I have to admit I am not following the exact eating plan - It is just too expensive to buy all that food. I do eat all the recommended meals just not in the exact order that is suggested. I plan on doing the program twice. The second time around I will be a lot stricter.

So far I am pretty pleased with the program. When it comes to exercise days you have the choice to do each circuit once or twice. For my first month I am only doing each circuit once (which for now is plenty!). I think the next time around I will bump it up to 2 circuits. The food is pretty tasty especially when you get into the chicken artichoke salads and avocado and mango chicken salads. I don’t think you can go wrong with either of these combinations.

I have my second weigh in since starting 2 weeks ago tomorrow. I did have some major cheat days this week - I hate to admit. What else is a bride to do cake tasting and food tasting is in the job description! Hopefully it won’t affect my results too much this week.

If it does I am not going to get too discouraged. I just have to stay on track and I know I will get the results I want!

Making the Cut - Day 1, 2 and 3

So I started making the Cut on Monday. This book is great for anyone who is really serious about loosing the last 10-20lbs. So far I have learned that I am a balanced oxidizer.  Which means I should be eating a ratio of 40% carbohydrates, 30% fat and 30% protein.

The workouts are super challenging and the meal plan is even a little hard to stick too. I am doing my best with both of these aspects. Today is day 3, which in the book is a day off :) Trust me I need a day off! My legs are so sore and my knees hurt to bend!

I have a little more then 2 months before the wedding and I want to look and feel my absolute best! I started a few months a head of time because with every new routine it takes time and learning to get the best results. With the circuit training it is hard to do because I am still learning all of the proper moves.

I will say I am glad that I started with the 30 day Shred. It really prepared me for this book. I suggest to anyone who is thinking about doing Making the Cut to start with the 30 day Shred first and then after you have completed that move on to it.

Good Luck! I will keep you posted of my progress ☺
