You all know what I am talking about…Getting back to it. Only in a perfect world could you work out for a few months and then be able to maintain a good figure for a lifetime!
Just to refresh everyone I just got married a month ago and I worked really hard to get in the best shape of my life for my wedding day. Well after the wedding comes the honeymoon and after the honeymoon comes back to reality.
One of the realities I need to get back into is a good workout routine. I have taken the last month off and now it is time to get back to work. Since I am just getting started again I have a goal to workout 3-4 days a week. I think that this is a great goal and it does not over whelm me too much.
My plan is to do spinning Monday’s and Fridays or Saturdays depending on what works out best. On Tuesdays I plan on playing tennis with my husband and some of our friends and Wednesdays I would like to do a Boot Camp class or Body works class. All of the other days left will be days off. I have always enjoyed working out for a day and then having a day off to recover.
I think working out keeps me sane. I know my husband would agree if I don’t work out at least a couple times a week I get a little moody and stressed out. The only cure for me is a good workout!
Good luck to anyone trying to get back in and just remember to take it slow!
So I started making the Cut on Monday. This book is great for anyone who is really serious about loosing the last 10-20lbs. So far I have learned that I am a balanced oxidizer. Which means I should be eating a ratio of 40% carbohydrates, 30% fat and 30% protein.
The workouts are super challenging and the meal plan is even a little hard to stick too. I am doing my best with both of these aspects. Today is day 3, which in the book is a day off
Trust me I need a day off! My legs are so sore and my knees hurt to bend!
I have a little more then 2 months before the wedding and I want to look and feel my absolute best! I started a few months a head of time because with every new routine it takes time and learning to get the best results. With the circuit training it is hard to do because I am still learning all of the proper moves.
I will say I am glad that I started with the 30 day Shred. It really prepared me for this book. I suggest to anyone who is thinking about doing Making the Cut to start with the 30 day Shred first and then after you have completed that move on to it.
Good Luck! I will keep you posted of my progress ☺
Eating healthy is an important part of life. After years of eating foods with pesticides is nice to have the altrenative thanks to the organic farming of vegetables and fruit. Eating organically is a personal choice that everyone has to make for them selves. It is just like any other choice you make in life. I have also made the personal choice to work out on a regular basis. It makes me feel good to know that I am taking good care of my body. When I was growing up my mom always taught my sisters and I to eat right and also get plenty of exercise. To this day my family is very health conscious.
My favorite organic vegetables include carrots and broccoli and my favorite fruits include apples and oranges. If you are trying to decide if you should eat organically or not I suggest you give organic eating a try. The flavor is always crisp and clean and you never have to worry about any unwanted chemicals. Before I made the choice to eat healthier I always worried about the excess pesticides that might be on my food. Now the worry is gone and I can eat peacefully!
